Vendor Registration
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE)
Purple Line Transit Partners have formed a team that combines local, national, and international experience to deliver this unique project. We have carefully assembled a highly qualified team with an emphasis on performing work using local, diverse firms. We have extensive experience and knowledge specific to the needs of this project. Our team fully recognizes the importance of maximizing participation by local Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. Our plan takes a proactive approach to meeting participation goals, and we will identify and award subcontracting and supplier opportunities in a systematic and transparent manner.

PLTP recognizes the importance to MDOT/MTA of engaging the local community and leaving a positive lasting legacy with this exciting and complex construction project. The PLTP team has a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. PLTP's contracting plan enables MDOT/MTA to reach its goal of contributing to the economic empowerment of the local community by hiring local businesses and residents, and stimulating job growth along the Purple Line corridor.

PLTP’s approved DBE plan encompasses all necessary and reasonable steps to promote the participation of subcontractors and suppliers. Our well-defined program has been successfully used on numerous projects, benefitting our team, Project Sponsors, suppliers, and subcontracting partners.

We encourage eligible firms to obtain Maryland certification, as only those with the MDOT DBE certifications can qualify for DBE credits to the project. For more information, see MDOT's Office of Minority Business Enterprise site. (External Link)
